The Hotel
Hostal Nuevo Colón is a hostel which was refurbished in 2007 in the historical quarter of Barcelona. Very close to the beach, the Picasso Museum, the Ramblas, the Gothic quarter, next to the Ciudadela Park in the heart of the famous district of Born in Barcelona.
It is excellently-communicated with the airport as the Estación de França train station is opposite the hostel from where there is a direct train to the Airport of Barcelona every 20 minutes.
In a friendly environment there are rooms and apartments which are refurbished every 2 years.

The Hostal Nuevo Colón is a homely 1-star establishment located in the historical quarter of Barcelona, very close to the main tourist attractions of the city, such as the Cathedral, the Ramblas, the Ciutadella Park, the Picasso Museum, Maremagnum and the beaches. By staying here you will experience life at first hand in the heart of the Barri Gòtic, one of the most lively and special districts. There is also a metro line (L4) just 500 metres away from where you can move comfortably around Barcelona. Furthermore, six bus routes stop just 20 metres from the hostel and the Estación del Nord (bus station) is also in the vicinity of Nuevo Colón. It is also a hostel which is easily accessed by public transport, by either train or bus. From the airport, the train is the fastest and most direct form of public transport. Get off at the last stop which is called Estación de França and the hostel is right opposite the station (1 minute walk).
If you are coming by car, there is a public car park open 24 hours opposite the hostel. Friendly atmosphere and unbeatable location and price.

If you come by car, there is a public car park in front of the hostel, it opens 24 hours.
How to Get from airport by public transport?
Train:
- Leaves every 10 minutes and takes 35 minutes. It is the fastest and most direct form of transport. Get off at the last stop which is called Estación de França and the hostel is right opposite the station (1 minute on foot).
Taxi:
- Easily taken at the airport. The approximate cost is €20-25. It takes 15-20 minutes.
Bus:
- The airport bus leaves the terminals every 15 minutes. It is fast and comfortable with space for luggage. It takes 20-25 minutes. The price is €3.50 per person. You should get off at the last stop: Plaza Catalunya and take bus number 14 to the Parque de la Ciudadela stop, the hostel is next to the number 14 bus stop.
